Issue with lighting

I’ve assigned lights to certain materials and they aren’t lighting up. I made it a multi-material, per advice from others, but that isn’t working either, nor is just making the material’s assignment a light. Any advice or resolutions would be appreciated!

I’m not sure why you need multi-material here, but if you want to make this object light-emitting, you have to tune your area-light node to the desired power.
Notice, what area light material output brightness depends on the size of the object. Larger objects may require a higher power setting.

I changed it to not be multi-material, cranked the lumens up, and still nothing.

I’m also getting this error when applying the light to the parts in the scene:

Do you have ‘always render as nurbs’ in the properties of those objects? Could you re-resselate them and recalculate normals?

Did all that. Still nothing.

Exactly opposite - ‘render as NURBS’ must be unchecked for this object. Also, you can try to split surfaces of objects and assign Area Light only to plane emitting lite. By the way, how you get this object into Keyshot? By import of some CAD format?

Got it, let me try that.

I use Rhino, so I imported their native file (.3dm)
